What to Expect at Union

Here at Union we understand that visiting a new church can be a daunting experience. In order to make your first experience with our church a positive one, we’ve addressed some questions you might have prior to your visit.

Where are you located?   We’re located at 6315 New Town Road in Waxhaw, NC.

What time should I be there?

That depends on what type of Worship experience you’re looking for.  We offer two services: 9:00 a.m. “Ignite” Contemporary Service  10:15 a.m. Sunday School   11:00 a.m. “Unite” Blended Service *

Click on the Worship tab for more details on our services and Sunday School classes.

What about my children?  We love children and they are welcome in all of our services.  During the Worship Service there are “Children’s Moments.” In the Ignite Service, after the "Children's Moment" children aged birth to 5 are invited to attend our “Safe Sanctuary” approved nursery. We also offer Sunday School classes at 10:00 A.M. for children and adults of all ages.

What should I wear?  At Union you’ll find anything from suits to tees, slacks to jeans, skirts to shorts, heels to crocs. Wear whatever makes you comfortable.  Pastor Brad has worn crocs while preaching too! ;)

What are the services like?  At both the “Ignite” and “Unite” services you’ll find an intimate worship experience.  It is important to us that you feel “at home” and part of our community.  The congregation is warm and friendly and always welcoming.  At our “Ignite” service you’ll hear Contemporary music led by our Praise Band.  Music plays a big part in creating a mood of spirituality.  This service is laid back and energetic at the same time.  At our “Unite” service you’ll hear a mix of the classic hymns that you grew up with as well as more contemporary praise songs that you might hear on the radio.  This service combines a traditional service with a contemporary flair.

We invite you to try out both services. We’re confident you’ll find what you’re looking for.
