SOS! Food Pantry needs your help!

We host a weekly Food Pantry here at Union UMC in partnership with Common Heart, every Thursday evening. Lately though the amount of regular food donations has been dropping while the needs are growing (triple the number of families coming compared to last year).  So we are sounding the alarm and asking for your help!

-  We are actively accepting any non-perishable donations, which can be dropped off here (see the photo, there's a donation bucket by the church bell and is checked daily).  If you have any frozen foods you wish to donate, specifically any frozen meats/protein, please contact Pastor Brad HERE and he will arrange a time to meet at the church so we can get any donations in our freezers.  Thank you for your help and please share the news for the needs this season are great.  Blessings to you all.

Facemasks Optional for Indoor Church Activities;

Updated March 2nd, 2021

Important Union UMC update;

  • Following the protocols of the CDC and Western UMC Conference, facemasks are optional. Masks are available if you want one. Worship is every Sunday in our sanctuary 9 & 11 am. We will also broadcast our services on our YouTube page at 9am.
For our worship services these are the safety precautions we are taking:
  • Facemasks are optional. Physical Distancing is still suggested within your own family group.
  • Sunday School is at 10am.
  • Based on rates of Covid infections at the state and local level, our Covid protocols may change, hopefully not. Union UMC has faithfully followed the directives and protocols stated by the Western NC United Methodist Conference, and we will continue to do so.
  • Check for any updates on Covid protocols here, on social media, or the Phonetree. Or just call or text Pastor Brad. It's what he's here for!
  • If you are feeling ill, please stay home and watch the service online!
  • Please consider supporting our church with your presence, tithes, and gifts! Just click the DONATE tab, as the church continues to share Christ in new ways.
  • Stay safe, stay well, check on your neighbors, and let's embrace creativity as we transform the church, be the Body of Christ in new, creative, and awesome ways! God Bless
